Discipline

Discipline is an integral part of education system along with the school discipline. We do embibe the student with a sense of good manners and etiquettes so that they take pride in following the norms of the school.

Co-Curricular Activities and Work Experience

The school offers a wide range of activities and socially useful and productive worth. Participate in one of these activities is compulsory for every student. The following activities will be offered to the students depends upon the availability of specialized teachers :

Games and Sports

Physical Education & Games are an integral part of the school curriculum and are compulsory for all students. The school offers basket ball, Volley ball, Throw ball, Foot ball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Athletics to its students to participate in a number of inter-house as well as inter school matches.

Computer Education

The school has contemporary designed and well equipped computer lab. Our students start working on computer right from the kindergarten. Multimedia CD's are used as an interesting resource and teaching aid. As the children move to higher classes they become adept at windows MS-office, they learn typing, how to make presentation, how to work on spread sheets, programming, techniques, programming with basic, fun with logo.

Library

The school maintain a well furnished library and reading room. News paper and magazines are provide in addition to avoid range of books, dictionaries, encyclopedias and reference books on various subjects are also available. All students of class - I to upward use library.

Laboratory

The school maintain a well equipped and spacious labs for physics, Chemistry and Biology. Experiments and practicals are conducted under the supervision of teachers. Children of junior classes are also taken to the labs to enable them to have better understanding of various topics and practical awareness.

House System

To foster them spirit amongst students and to encourage healthy competition between them, the student community at P.D.E.C. is divided into four houses. The houses, which get their names from the elements of nature viz., Earth, Fire, Water and Wind are under the co, andof a House Captain and a House Vice Captain. To motivate, encourage and guide students to perform their best in different areas of competition. The house activities are planned, implemented and supervised by house co-ordinators, who are members of the school teaching community. Apart from competing with each other numerous inter house competition like sports, music, dance, elocution, debate, calligraphy, quiz etc., they perform multifarious duties ranging from the maintenance of discipline to conducting assembly and from reception duty to softboard decoration.

Recommendation of Parents

The Personality Development of a child is a three dimensional efforts that of the child, the parents and the teacher together together they constitute the P.D.E.C. quadrilateral.

School Insignia

• The parents are expected to co-oprate with the school in its efforts to enforce regularity, punctuality and discipline.
• Parents / Guardians are not permitted to visit the class or meet the teachers during schools hours. They can seek an appointment with the teacher by writing a note in the student's diary requesting to give some time at her / his convenience.
• The bags should be packed as per the time-table to avoid over burdening the students.

• Occasional reports and recommendation from teachers and the Principal are made in the school diary.
• Parent are requested to sign the homework diary and the class test copies regularly. Failure to do so may put the child to grade inconvenience.
• Leave for half day should be avoided, In emergency however, permission must be taken prior from the Principal.

Code of Conduct

The school lays a lot of emphasize on discipline are recommends its students to abide by the code of conduct laid down by the school.

• The students are liable for punishment for irregular attendance, negligence of home-work, disobedience and disrespect shown to the members of the staff.
• Scribbling on the walls, desks and boards, as well as tearing of pages from exercise books of the school diary is punishable.
• Books, magazines or newspapers should not be taken out of the library untill and unless they are duly issued. Students will be severely fined in case of loss / damage or late submission of library books.
• Wearing of jewellery or bringing of expensive articles or money to school is strickly prohibited and school not be responsible for their loss. Students of class Vth and above may wear watches.
• Pupils are responsible to the school authorities not only for cunduct in the school but also general behavior outside.
• An report of objectionable conduct on the part of any student will take him / her liable for disciplinary action.
• No expensive gifts are to be bought.
• All school activities, acadamic and co-curricular are compulsory. [Exemption on medical grounds only (if necessary)].
• Any change in address or telephone numbers of parents must be intimated immediately.

Medical and Health

To ensure that they have healthy and happy children, parents must ensure that attention is paid to general hygiene; .In case the child has a cold, please ensure he / she bring disposable tissues with him / her; .No people suffering from any contagious disease like measles, chicken pox, conjunctivitis shall be permitted to attend school till he/she brings a medical certificate of fitness.

Certificate and Awards

In order to encourage participation amongst and to motivate them to excel in various spheres, the school awards certificates of appreciation and merit to the deserving candidates. The categories taken into consideration include not only academic, sports and cultural affairs but also vital traits of a child's personality.
